TRANSLATING DIGITAL ATMOSPHERES INTO PHYSICAL FORM

PHYSICAL

PHYSICAL

This installation proposes a space where perception becomes dynamic: light constructs forms that exist only in the instant they appear. An exploration of material and variation — unfolding in the interval between what is visible and what only occurs through movement in space. This installation emerges from its namesake digital series, marking its first translation into physical space.

Suspensión Latente — 2025

The digital space is her point of departure — where she models atmospheres, light behaviors, and perceptual conditions. What she brings into the physical world is not a replica, but a translation: an attempt to reveal intangible qualities through suspended structures, translucent materials, and subtle spatial rhythms.

BIOGRAPHY

BIOGRAPHY

Rosario Ocampo (b. 1994, Córdoba, Argentina) works with light as a perceptual phenomenon, designing installations where matter in its minimal expression operates as a device to activate space. Her practice investigates the threshold between the visible and the imperceptible, translating atmospheres built in digital environments into physical experiences where the perception of body, time, and scale is altered.

Her research originated in the construction of two-dimensional digital atmospheres, an early body of work centered on light, color, and virtual space that laid the conceptual groundwork for her later shift into three-dimensional environments and, subsequently, physical installation.

In 2025 she presented Suspensión Latente, her first solo exhibition, at the Museo de Bellas Artes Ricardo Pedroni, Córdoba. In 2023 she participated in LLUM BCN – Light Art Festival, Barcelona.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Design from the Universidad Provincial de Córdoba (2019) and a postgraduate degree in Lighting Design from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona (2023). She has participated in artist development programs including CUATROXCUATRO (Buenos Aires, 2021) and #PALA22, coordinated by LAVA Galería (Santa Fe, 2022).
